DocuSphere ArchiveLink for SAP

Image Integration Systems’ DocuSphere ArchiveLink – an integration module which uses SAP’s defined interface for attaching and archiving documents – has achieved certification for SAP R/3 utilization. Further, through the interface, DocuSphere Workflow can trigger activities automatically within the SAP workflow system.

The DocuSphere® ArchiveLink interface, certified for SAP R/3™, relates externally stored business documents to transactions within SAP, providing a powerful interface between SAP, DocuSphere Content Manager and DocuSphere Workflow.

Documents relevant to any transaction within SAP may be stored within DocuSphere Content Manager, providing a secure repository for documents originating outside of SAP, together with information created within SAP.

DocuSphere ArchiveLink with DocuSphere Content Manager provides all the functionality required for effective SAP data archiving and electronic report capture. DocuSphere Workflow extends business processes across the workplace and beyond the boundaries of SAP to include important activities carried out by non-SAP users.

DocuSphere Content Manager captures external documents from a variety of sources, including scanners, faxes, email and PCs. The insertion of a document in DocuSphere Content Manager can automatically generate a task within SAP workflow. An ideal application for DocuSphere ArchiveLink integration is the processing of incoming invoices, where the arrival of an invoice triggers a workflow activity within SAP for an accounts payable processor.

Selection of an SAP workflow activity, such as invoice registration, automatically places the user at the correct screen to perform that activity. Integration through DocuSphere ArchiveLink requests and delivers the related documents from DocuSphere Content Manager.
