IIS DocuSphere Expected To Improve Payment Cycle, Create More Control and Visibility For Management; More Than 13,000 Invoices To Be Processed Monthly
PERRYSBURG, Ohio – Oct. 8, 2006 – Image Integration Systems (IIS), a leading document management solutions provider for business process improvement in high-volume transaction environments, today announced it was selected by The Opus Group to create a more efficient invoice processing and billing solution.
The Opus Group, a $2.2 billion national real estate development company, selected Oracle’s JD Edwards Enterprise One to consolidate disparate ERP systems and redefine key business processes. In addition, Opus required a system to capture and process supplier payment documents from vendors and subcontractors in an electronic content management and workflow solution. After reviewing several systems, Opus chose the IIS DocuSphere® integrated workflow and document management solution.

The DocuSphere solution at Opus is expected to improve the efficiencies of the entire purchase-to-pay cycle while achieving better control and visibility for management. In addition, efficiencies in the vendor payment process are expected to translate directly into improved billing accuracy and shortened billing cycles, as the solution will be able to provide the supporting vendor documentation many Opus Group customers require before paying their invoice.
The IIS solution for The Opus Group includes DocuSphere Content Manager, DocuSphere Workflow and DocuSphere Auto Voucher. In addition, advanced capture software from AnyDoc will speed the entry of supplier invoice data that feeds the system.

The IIS DocuSphere solution has been in production in the Accounts Payable Department at the Opus corporate office since September. Currently, the solution is being expanded enterprise-wide, starting with the Opus East regional company, which will go live October 30. We’re looking forward to the benefits of enterprise-wide process efficiencies, control and visibility when all Opus operating units are in production.” In full production, more than 500 Opus employees will use DocuSphere to improve daily productivity, and more than 13,000 vendor invoices will be processed by the IIS system each month.
