DocuSphere - How work flows

Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 8.12 Validation completed

As an Oracle Certified Partner and member of the Oracle Partner Network, IIS has completed the validation of DocuSphere integration with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 8.12. This is only the latest of validations that have been completed for the JD Edwards software (World and EnterpriseOne).

Integration Overview
DocuSphere integrates with JDEdwards EnterpriseOne to provide user-defined workflow of transactional processes and performance metrics for improved management control. Documents (images) can be automatically indexed as part of the EnterpriseOne application process to insure accuracy and eliminate duplicate entry.

• DocuSphere integrates with JDEdwards EnterpriseOne, providing access to user-defined workflow of transactional processes, imaging, and content management.

• DocuSphere integration provides direct, immediate access to business documents with no new user interfaces, automatic indexing as part of the transactional process, and maintains EnterpriseOne as the principle point of access.

• DocuSphere Workflow automates sequential, parallel and iterative processes. The workflow schema is extended across and beyond the enterprise with integrated e-mail and Web-enabled interfaces.

Integration Details
This is a synchronous outbound/inbound interface, passing index data between the EnterpriseOne application and DocuSphere via our custom business function and socket server. Our custom business function, data structure, and parent DLL are delivered via JDE E1 Product Package. The DocuSphere products are delivered via standard MSI installer programs.

The integration consists of three JDEdwards EnterpriseOne custom objects - business function, data structure, and parent library. The interface is implemented by on-sight modification of a customer’s applications (via OMW), driven by the customer’s business requirements for the interface.

The JDE business function runs on the JDE Enterprise server. The DocuSphere Workflow EnterpriseOne Listener runs on the DocuSphere server and listens for requests coming from the JDE business function via TCP sockets. The DocuSphere server consists of a SQL or Oracle database and the DocuSphere server software is based on the MS .Net framework.

DocuSphere Workflow is based on the international standards set forth by the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC).
