DocuSphere Repository Connectors
DocuSphere Repository Connectors allow our DocuSphere line of products to interact directly with many other popular document repositories, including Microsoft® SharePoint®, EMC® Documentum®, Open Text and others. This capability allows customers with existing document repositories to use DocuSphere Workflow and DocuSphere Content Manager without having to replace or duplicate those repositories, thus providing even more value to the end customer.

DocuSphere Repository Connectors also allow a customer to unify their content repositories by creating a single view across them. For instance, if a customer already has SharePoint and Documentum installed, they can create an index definition in DocuSphere Content Manager that points to those other repositories, allowing users to make one search request in DocuSphere that searches DocuSphere, MS SharePoint and Documentum. The results of the search will be displayed in a single list in DocuSphere.
Documents from any of the repositories can also be attached to DocuSphere Workflow work items. For those repositories that support a read-write connection, the documents within those repositories can also be used to automatically start a workflow in DocuSphere. For example, when a vendor invoice or employee expense report is placed into a SharePoint repository, DocuSphere will automatically detect the arrival of the new document, gather associated metadata that may have been collected when the document was placed in the repository (invoice number, employee number, etc.), start a workflow in DocuSphere Workflow, pass the metadata up to the workflow, and then notify the appropriate individual(s) that there is new work to be done!
DocuSphere Workflow users can also search other repositories while working on a transaction in DocuSphere Workflow and attach documents manually to a workflow. If so configured*, updated document information and metadata can be passed back down to the external repository and made available to the users of that repository (for example, check number, voucher number, etc.).
