DocuSphere - How work flows

Document Assembly

This Webinar was held April 8, 2008 at 10am EDT and April 10 at 2pm EDT. If you would like to view the previously recorded webinar please click here.

The April DocuSphere Solutions webinar will show you the faster, cheaper and better way to identify, organize and “package” documents required with order shipments. With DocuSphere, document assembly is much faster, errors and omissions are reduced, and paper handling, photo copying, filing and other time consuming manual steps are virtually eliminated.

And while we focus on document assembly for sales orders in this webinar, the DocuSphere tools and concepts are equally applicable in many other areas, such as Billing, Finance and Human Resources.

The documents often come not only from the JD Edwards ERP system, but also from other manufacturing and support systems. Depending on your industry, the documents required by your customer, or mandated by regulatory agencies, may include QC test results, material safety data sheets, product specifications and schematics, etc. DocuSphere solutions will automate and standardize this necessary component of the order fulfillment process.

Our extensive experience with JD Edwards World and EnterpriseOne transactional processing, and the JDE-specific functionality of our DocuSphere products improves business processes, including document assembly for order fulfillment, by eliminating process “dead times”, reducing transactional costs and providing complete process visibility. And DocuSphere document assembly automation will eliminate the paper shuffle and attendant bottle-necks at shipment time that can jeopardize the timely and complete delivery of orders to your customers.

You’ll see how IIS customers have generated significant benefits with DocuSphere document assembly solutions. By implementing DocuSphere Content Manager and Workflow, IIS built a solution that assures rapid and accurate assembly of the documents required for each order. All documents are scanned, or automatically captured from other systems, and stored in Content Manager. Then DocuSphere Workflow “agents” and “plug-ins” interrogate each order for the required documentation and system information and assemble it into a PDF document, according to the document item structure previously defined. This document can be reviewed and amended, if need be, and then printed as a package that accompanies the order shipment.

From our experience in a variety of industries and scenarios, we know that there is no “one-size-fits-all” solution for the cost-effective automation of business processes. DocuSphere’s flexibility and functionality allows us to configure an effective solution that satisfies your requirements, those of your customer, and the regulators. Orders are processed and shipped faster, manual paper handling and data entry is minimized, and an audit trail of exactly what documents were provided is stored and preserved. Faster, more accurate processing now insures that document requirements will not diminish order fulfillment speed or quality.
